Lang Wyatt completed the construction of a $1.35 million new building in the middle of an active transit center site in Sierra Vista, Arizona, near the US/Mexico border.  The new building and outside bus shelters provide facilities for transit system riders and employees.   There are public restrooms, a spacious lounge area, and multiple offices.  

The striking, modern architecture of the facility highlights large expanses of glass and recycled steel, highly efficient electrical and HVAC systems, and many other features of sustainable design.   The building isLEED^® registered and is expected to achieve a LEED^®  Silver Rating.

Lang Wyatt completed construction on this $1.3 million new evidence storage facility for the Pima County Sheriff's Department. The facility features both short and long term evidence holding areas, a walk-in cooler/freezer capable of maintaining evidence for years, plus a lighted and secured impound yard for seized motor vehicles.

Lang Wyatt served as general contractor to build this new 30-acre, $2 million public park for the Town of Oro Valley, a northern suburb of Tucson. It included sports fields for soccer and baseball, complete with fencing, field lighting, and turf. There were also playground facilities; buildings for restrooms, concessions, and offices; parking lots; a running track; site improvements for drainage; site walls; complete landscaping and irrigation packages; and picnic ramadas. Construction was completed within five months.

Lang Wyatt served as general contractor for this new $3.6 million two-story 44-bed cell block, and a one-story administration and classroom wing in rural southeastern Arizona. This 18,687 SF building is constructed of split-face, reinforced concrete masonry walls and a pre-cast concrete plank roof. The sloped roof areas above the cell block are covered with a standing-seam metal roof system. Some areas of the cell block exterior walls are clad with an exterior insulation and finish system. Construction was completed in less than eleven months.

Lang Wyatt is working with the City of Tucson and an architect to build this new $5 million facility on Tucson’s east side for Tucson Water.  The facility is located in a residential neighborhood, and was designed to minimize noise intrusion, as well as visual intrusion.  Roof heights are kept at a lower elevation and slope with the site, and mechanical units are kept off the roofs.  Building circulation and parking are in a compact area to minimize site impact.

The design is simple creative metal buildings which minimizes the cost of the facilities and allowed the budget to absorb equipment and systems desired by the client, including cranes, welding, training equipment, and furnishings.  The building is LEED^® registered and is expected to achieve a LEED^®  Silver Rating.  Construction will be complete in 2009.

Lang Wyatt served as general contractor for this new $1.4 million, 12,000 SF new water department headquarters facility, including all site work and utilities, two buildings, and secured storage yard. Both buildings are pre-engineered steel buildings, but the administration building has an EIFS exterior wall finish. The maintenance building includes a meter shop, vehicle maintenance and indoor storage.

Lang Wyatt’s predecessor, Martin C. Lang Construction, completed construction on this new $2.5 million police station for the City of Sierra Vista, Arizona.  This is a 22,000 SF facility that includes holding cells, administrative areas, evidence storage, dispatch and communications, locker rooms, and training facilities.

Lang Wyatt is currently completing an expansion to this facility working as a Construction Manager at Risk.
